BkEdCert.com is committed to assuring the privacy of individuals who have contacted us for assistance. We do not offer debt management plans and do not share information with creditors, attorneys, nor do we report information to credit bureaus. None of the information you disclose to us including information required to register and financial information disclosed to us to assist you it the counseling process will be made public or used for any other purpose. As a result of contacting us you will not receive future solicitations from us or from other service providers seeking your business. The fact that you contacted us will remain confidential unless you chose to reveal it or we are required to disclose it under law.

By law in certain circumstances we may be required to disclose information.

1. If you file either the credit counseling certificate or the certificate of completion of the personal financial management course with the US Bankruptcy court that certificate becomes part of the Bankruptcy Court’s official record and is public information.

2. BkEdCert.com is an approved provider of counseling and Education certificate programs required under the 2005 amendments to the US Bankruptcy Code. This approval was granted by Executive of for United States Trustees (EOUST) an agency of the US Department of Justice. For your protection to assure quality and conformance with law the United States Trustee monitors the performance of providers it supervises and for this reasons has access to our records which include client records.

3. The Credit Counseling certificate and Certificate of completion of an approved personal financial management course are issued for your use in complying with the requirement of the 2005 Amendments to the US Bankruptcy code and must be filed in Bankruptcy Court. The Bankruptcy Court has the power to review our records including client records to insure conformity with the law and court rules.

4. If you are represented by an attorney, with your authorization, we will furnish them copies of certificates issued to you and copies of the budget prepared by you as a part of the counseling process.

5. In rare instances we may be compelled by legal process to disclose information.
